Discownt Beef

This was my first attempt of trying colored paper and colored pencils together.  I used artist grade colored paper and PrismaColor Pencils, and PrismaColor thins.  I got the idea of from one of my relatives complaining about ground beef they got from W-Mart. I wondered what a cow would look like that tasted terribly.  This is what I came up with.  Original is 8 1/2 X 11.

Escape Artist
My wife was working as a CNA as requirement to get into a Radiology program.  She was required to do it for a year.  She worked the graveyard shift and talked about the occasional escape artist, or the patient who was in another place at another time.  She got to know a lot of these people and they all had wonderful stories.  I did this on colored paper and PrismaColor pencils.  Original is 8 1/2 X11.
Odd Duck
I enjoy giving a human Characteristic to animals I draw.  I have some formal training in animation.  This was my third attempt in using colored paper and PrismaColor pencils.

These are what I ended up using for this project.  I actually really liked the softcore and felt it blended very well.  I liked the Verithin pencils because it gave me a chance to add detail and highlights.  I did notice that some of the softcore pencils were not drilled as strait as they should have been.  I found they broke very easily in my sharpener.  I do haves an artist grade sharpeners as well.  I did not notice this problem the verithins when I sharpened them.  I would recommend this product over other pencils you can find on the market.  I purchase a lot of my art supplies at Dickblicks, Reuls Art, Utrecht art.
